Karmveer Ganpat Dada More Arts, Commerce and ScienceCollege, Niphad is run by Maratha Vidya Prasarak Samaj, Nashik, the Parent institution. The college was established in June-1971 with only 26 students at Niphad, a Taluka place from the rural area of Nashik district. It is one of the ten colleges in Niphad Tahasil. The college was established with view of catering higher education to the students from the villages and surrounding rural areas and also with the motto Bahujan Hitaya Bahujan Sukhaya. The college started with two faculties and only with few students in 1971. Now the college has Science faculty and two Post Graduation courses M.A. Economics and M.Com. Strength of the college students has been consistently increasing over the years.
It has three academic programmes i.e. Arts, Commerce and Science at undergraduate level. At the B.A. level there are six special subjects i.e. Marathi, Economics, Political Science, Geography, Psychology and English while in the Commerce faculty, Business Administration and Cost & Works accounting are the special subjects. Science faculty has Microbiology and Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Mathematics as a special subjects. For Science faculty there are five independent and well-equipped laboratories. For Commerce faculty, Geography Department there are separate, well equipped laboratories. For Psychology Department there is separate well equipped and furnished laborotory with 5 Cubicals. The college has a huge building consisting of administrative section, Staff room, computer and Reprographic room, NCC and NSS Offices, Class rooms, Library, laboratories, Gymkhana, Seminar Hall, VLC and Girl’s hostel. Our college has a Boat Club at Kadava river. College has Solar PV System with electricity generation capacity of 15.36 KW. All necessary infrastructural facilities are available in the campus such as vehicle parking, cycle stand, drinking water tank, toilets, sanitary blocks, botanical garden, sport grounds and canteen etc.
The college has a very rich history of producing constantly good examination results, shaping students useful for the society. The college regularly organizes State, National, and University level seminars, workshops, various competitions and it has been trying to increase the academic standard of the students.
Along with curricular activities the college organizes extra curricular activities. NSS, NCC, Student Welfare department, Nisarga Mandal, Soft Skills Development Cell etc units are doing their activities at their level best. Various programmes for social awareness are conducted throughout the year. The college is marching ahead to achieve the goals and objectives of imparting education to the students from all sections of society. All round personality development of the students and make them responsible citizens of the country are the aims of the college.
The college is located amongst the beautiful natural scenery in a magnificent building. The college also promots Teaching and Non-Teaching faculty to get recent information and knowledge by way of deputing them for training programme, Orientation Programme, Refrersher Course, Seminar, Workshop, Conferences, Minor and Major Research Project, M.Phil and Ph.D.. Adequate and competent required staff is available with necessary infrastructure and resouces. Total No. of Teaching and non-teaching staff is 76.
We try to increase the academic standards of our students by way of providing them free and fair atmosphere. We aim to develop multi facet personality of students to fit for the 21st century. The academic activities, co-curricular /extra curricular activities are successfully organized through following departments IQAC, Examination, Library, Gymkhana, NSS, NCC, Scholarships, Literary Association, Commerce Association, Magazine, Publicity, Excursion, Gardening, Staff Academy, Vidyarthini Manch, Bahishal Shikhsan Mandal, Student’s Welfare Cell/Mandal, Health Services, Alumni Association, Parent- Teacher Association, Computer and IT training cell, Soft skill Development Training Cell, Student Support and complaint redressal cell, Adult Education and Extension Activity cell, Carrier guidance and placement cell, Science association, Research cell, Student Counseling cell, Annual Social gathering And Prize distribution cell, Infrastructure development and learning resources cell, Social Science association, Competitive Examination Guidance cell etc.
