Department of Political Science
VISION :
To cultivate a deep understanding of political systems, theories, practices and preparing students for active and informed citizenship and leadership roles
MISSION :
To educate students about the theory and practice of politics, government and public affairs, fostering critical thinking and preparing them for active citizenship and various careers
The objectives of the department are to:
- Inculcate basic Human values like Democracy, Equality and Fraternity
- Make the students aware of their rights, duties and social Justice
- Strive for the participation of rural people in Local-Self Government
- Understand the administration of the Government
- Analyserelevant aspects of international relationship
- Understand human nature , political actions, develop theories and tools for interpreting political systems and phenomena
- Foster Informed Citizenship and participation in democratic process
- Prepare students for various careers
- Enhance research and analytical skills
- Encourage interdisciplinary perspectives
